so we are back in london again...

back from the lovely birmingham. Thanks lauren berning, your hospitality was unaparrelled.

so our days started out like this, waking up at 7ish so we can prepare, pack and take a taxi to catch a bus that leaves for london around 930. After a three hour bus ride, we are there. With everything we own on our backs and in our hands, we drag ourselves to an STA travel and buy our one way plane tickets home... (lets not talk about the prices). Then we hurry to our hostel which we are staying at for 2 more days... check in, drop our stuff down, and hurry to trafalgar square to meet a friend which we are already 2 and a half hours late for.

We drink a pint of guiness and take a bus tour around london. we drive through london bridge, tower bridge, lil big ben, westminiter abby again, the eye of london again, the milennium bridge and several other historical sites. tomorrow we will do more of the bus tour and the tate modern.

Finally, here are some pics that we've taken.

We're actually facing the National Gallery, but behind us Trafalgar Square and way off in the distance is Big Ben

Believe it or not, but there was no alcohol or drugs involved with this pic

right now, ...us girls just wanna have fun...

so its about 11 in the morning and i'm (jeff) drinking already. its pretty cool and its breakfast.

so we are outta here soon it looks like, yup we decided to not travel the rest of europe to come back and do it full fledged tourist style.

we booked 3 nights in the hostel that we were origionally in when we origionally got to london. i made sure that we got at least one bottom bunk because i told the hostel person that we needed the bottom bunk because my friend had a bad leg (hahahhahaha) and cant climb up to the top.

in retrospect on our days here... i ask "what would i want to have been different." well a lot of things. maybe everything. we pretty much didnt have an ounce of luck on our side and no winds in our sail. we paddled the whole way so far. but thats the part that i learned from. the hardships that happened helped us have a trip that was more than just shit and giggles. We learned so much about ourselves, each other, and life. we did this; we did this together and only we know what happened this last month. so, what would i want on this trip to be different? if i knew what was going to happen before i came, i would answer everything. but after going through it, i would say nothing at all.

I really think the U.K. really dislikes me and jeff. England has been treating Lauren Berning nicely. We go out to this place called Food World which she says is really cool because they have food from drifferent areas of the world and they have special deals. like once she said that she got 2 meals for 4 pounds or something. so she takes us there and yes the food looked good, but then there really wasn't a deal in sight. the only deal was to get 1 meal for 5 pounds and the meal was like the size of my hand. that's not cool, although i would be full because having lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks, i can get full just eating a bannana. but it's still not a deal. so then we get food at some other place in the mall. then we go to his place that's the equivalent of Bloomingdales and they have nice dining food there, but more importantly desserts. so lauren gets ice cream and i get these one of their really awesome muffins and we share them. we pay for them and then decide to eat at the tables they provide. just when we sit down this worker comes up to us and says we can't sit there unless we get actual food, the desserts don't count. it was weird because you'd think that since we are actually buying customers that they would let us stay there. so we leave and find some cafe place within the mall and eat there. luaren then goes to the cafe counter to buy a bottled water and while she's there, a cafe waitress comes up to me and jeff and says you can't eat other stores food here and then we say that our friend is in your line buying something and she was "yeah that's great and all, but you can't have your food here" so we were once again forced to move. I think jeff and my presence just bugs the country of England. We just bring it out in them.
"Alright, alright already! We get the point! We're leaving soon, leave us alone!"

hey all,
we are now in birminham, the second biggest city in england. it was such a culture shock coming here because it is so differnet from out experiences in london. personally, i wish we started here in birmingham because it is so much cheaper and friendlier.

We are staying with lauren berning at the moment, its a beautiful city and shes got a really nice place here. its crazy, we are just all hanging out here thousands of miles from where we belong. isnt it?

we really dont know what is going on. we dont know where we will be next or even how are are going to get back... but we have decided to start backpacking soon and not work here in birminham, which we were thinking about for a while.

one thing we also decided on is that we will return just to see europe and not have the plan to work. somtime in the future.

..... yesterday was a crazy day, the rain just seemed as big as bullets and pounded the top of our heads. it went from a slight drizzle to some crazy -someone is mad above- weather.... it was great.
